Websters Theatre (Capacity 240 seated)

The Theatre is available to let on an hourly basis at £120 per hour with a minimum hire charge of 5 hours per day (£600 inc. VAT).

The let includes a house technician and options are available for front of house, box office and show listings. Please fill in the schedule below for each day of your hire.

Staffing and Equipment
There is a technical information pack available from the venue which describes all the equipment included in the hire and provides and seeks information regarding the use of the theatre by the hirer.

Any additional equipment must be hired in by the hirer at the hirers expense.

The theatre let includes one in-house technician. Additional technical staff if required must be provided by the hirer and must conform to the health and safety requirements of the theatre and the in-house technician.

We don’t supply any laptops or PCs for playing sound effects or backing tracks or for running lighting cues. Please remember to bring your own, including cables to connect to lighting and sound desks.
Staffing and Equipment
The technical specification document for the Playhouse details all the equipment which is available to hire.

Any additional equipment must be hired in by the hirer at the hirers expense.

The Playhouse hire does not include a technician. Technical staff can be provided at a rate of £20 per hour. If provided by the hirer, they must confirm to the health and safety requirements of the venue.

For the Playhouse lights, PA, projector and screen please complete the relevant fields for the items you wish to hire. When hired, they will be set up for your arrival.

Theatre Set-Up
The default state of the venue is for performances to take place on the end stage with a front extension possible if front rows of seats are removed. Bespoke seating layouts including cabaret style can be provided but only if agreed by the venue in detail before tickets go on sale.

Playhouse Set-Up
The Playhouse is a flexible space that can be set up in various formats, end on or side on seating cabaret style. The capacity is currently a maximum 60 persons including staff and performers. There is a pop up bar inside a piano carcass that is available subject to a negotiated staff charge.

We add a £2 per ticket fee to the prices you set.

All your marketing should show the total customers will pay (your ticket price + £2).

The fee applies to all tickets, whether booked online, on the phone or in person.

Our standard concession policy is for OAPs (over 60); under 16s; students; disabled patrons and the unwaged.

We normally permit children under 2 into the auditorium free of charge, provided they sit on a parent’s knee.

We normally offer free tickets to carers accompanying disabled patrons.

Tickets sold through other suppliers
We request a minimum of 50 tickets per show to sell through our Box Office. Alternatively we charge £100 per show in addition to the hire fee.

You can also sell tickets through other suppliers if you wish, but please note we can’t provide any physical tickets for you to pass on to them or to sell yourself. We can only generate tickets for sales through our own Box Office.
